A Tasmania Fire Service volunteer firefighter has been charged by Tasmania Police for lighting fires.
TFS advise the Flinders Island volunteer firefighter was suspended from duty after he was yesterday charged by Tasmania Police. A spokesperson for Tasmania Police said the man was charged with six counts of unlawfully setting fire to vegetation from 2019 following a two year investigation by Police. He was bailed to appear in the Whitemark Magistrates Court next year. TFS
