Fatality at Recherche

Further to our Facebook page report at 11.30pm Thursday, we can now advise subscribers that the crash at Recherche was a fatality. A person trapped in the vehicle died at the scene. The Tasmania Police Westpac rescue helicopter attended the scene. Crash Investigation Services and Forensics are attending and should be at the location shortly.

Bloody idiot 0.222

Youngtown woman charged with drink driving A 59-year-old Youngtown woman has been charged with drink driving after an incident on Boland Street, Launceston about 9am today. The woman returned a breath analysis reading of 0.222 and was immediately disqualified from driving. She will appear in court at a later date.
