In a statement to TVN this morning after our enquiry yesterday TasRail said: “At approx. 3.18pm yesterday TasRail experienced a minor derailment on a northbound train on the South Line of the Tasmanian Rail network in the Rhyndaston area. The search for a missing man and an overdue vessel in North West Tasmania has been suspended. An area of anomaly on the seabed near the coastline identified as part of a two-day sonar survey was investigated and determined to be unrelated to the missing man and vessel.
