Fast and Furious
High action in the northern suburbs tonight with Tasmania Police seizing a bike that evaded them a short time ago. We are told the rider crashed and fled on foot!

Ride like the wind
Shortly after 2.30pm this afternoon a motorcyclist evaded Tasmania Police on Richmond Road after they attempted to intercept the rider for speeding. After only a short time with public assistance Police located the motorcyclist hiding behind trees on a property. The Harley-Davidson was towed and impounded by Police at the scene.

Missing girl returns home
Tasmania Police attended and were searched a Fire trail and bush area at Strickland Ave, South Hobart for a 13 year old girl on a mountain bike reportedly missing earlier tonight.

Walker rescued
A walker climbing Mt Amos at Wineglass Bay today fell around 2.5 metres from a rock face hitting her head, members of her group contacted emergency services. The Tasmania Police Westpac rescue helicopter was activated and winched the walker to safety.

Helicopter looking for offender
At 2.31pm this afternoon the Tasmania Police Air Wing helicopter was activated to search for an offender near Dawson’s Siding Road at Latrobe. We understand Police were conducting a search of premises when an offender fled into bush land. The search extended to the Dulverton and Railton areas.

Helicopter medivac
The Tasmania Police Westpac rescue helicopter was activated at 5.47pm this afternoon to a medivac rescue at Clark Cliffs Circuit, Nubeena. An elderly lady had a fall and suffered injuries. The Police located the walkers around 20 minutes ago and were preparing to winch the injured person out.

Rider critical
Ambulance Tasmania and Tasmania Police remain at the scene of a serious crash involving a road/trail Yamaha motorbike a Ellendale. The rider is in a critical condition and the Tasmania Police Westpac rescue helicopter has been activated to medivac to the RHH. Tasmania Police Crash Investigation Services are also attending.
