Around 9:30pm on Saturday 1 May 2021 a fatal motor cycle crash occurred on the Tasman Highway at Waverley, near Launceston.   A 29 year old male from Legana lost control of his motor cycle and crashed into a vacant business.  The rider died at the scene as a result of his injuries.  Initial investigations indicate that speed may have been a contributing factor.
